The Parents' Room at Cinema King
9 October 2021
On October 9, 2021, Diego Marcon presented The Parents' Room (2021) at the Cinema King in Trapani.
The film, designed to repeat itself in an endless loop, was screened continuously for six hours, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which time the cinema remained open to the public and freely accessible. This site-specific installation also features a series of posters, designed for the cinema’s windows and displayed in other locations throughout the city, defined an intervention that transformed the Cinema King into an environmental installation.
Just a short walk from the Cinema King, on the same day, in the courtyard of Palazzo Berardo Ferro, Diego Marcon, Eva Fabbris and Andrea Viliani engaged in a discussion with the audience about the artist’s practice.
This was the first public event organized by INCURVA in Trapani.
The Parents’ Room (2021) was co-produced by INCURVA and Museo Madre (more info). Project supported by Italian Council (2019)
