INCURVA is a not-for-profit organisation that aims at making western Sicily a fertile ground for research in contemporary art, re-activating its public spaces and stimulating dialogue with its local communities through a platform for residencies, talks and exhibitions. Established in 2016.

Curva Blu, is a programme of artist’s residencies and exhibitions for Italian and international artists. Curva Blu provides spaces and time for focussed research, production and reflection in Favignana, part of the Egadi islands. Artists are hosted in private homes on the island and set studio in Favignana’s main museum: Ex Stabilimento Florio.
Curva Blu’s 2016 programme is guided by curators Marianna Vecellio and Attilia Fattori Franchini.
INCURVA is an open platform that enables artists to continue their research and production in a novel and previously unexplored context without structure of a standard residency program. The artist is free to pursue his/her reflection and production, and is encouraged to use the setting to her/his own advantage. Each experience is unique and designed ad-hoc leveraging INCURVA’s members assets: private houses, private spaces, warehouses, knowledge, museums, public spaces, private belongings and more.
